Halfdan M. Hanson (November 30, 1884 – September 12, 1952) was a Norwegian-born American architect. Halfdan Hanson was born at Tønsberg in Vestfold, Norway. He emigrated as an infant to Gloucester, Massachusetts, where his father was employed as a ship's rigger. In 1904, he completed a course of study in architecture at Philadelphia, PA. He was perhaps most noted for his longtime collaboration with interior designer Henry Davis Sleeper, the owner of the Beauport, Sleeper-McCann House, in Gloucester, MA.〔Hollister, Paul (1981). "The Building of Beauport, 1907-1924," ''The American Art Journal'' 8(1)〕 Hanson was an architect in the employment of Sleeper for twenty-seven years.
